Weekend Travels

Occasionally I'll take weekend trips. I took a trip to Washington D.C. last fall, the city, which is home to the three branches of the federal government, the White House, the Supreme Court and the capital building. For the first time ever I got to visit the National Mall and of course the infamous Lincoln Memorial. My best friend, right hand man Abraham Lincoln.

I won't ever forget that day, I walked for miles and miles with my siblings touring each section of the National Mall and by the end of the day we got ourselves those delicious red, white and blue firecracker popsicles.

While visiting Washington DC, we made a quick stop at the beautiful Naval Academy in Annapolis, the naval academy was established in 1845 as one of the 2nd academies in Maryland.
